The 10th Annual Pow Wow

The 10th Annual Pow Wow.  It was held in Willamette Univesity of our university sparks on March 10th.  And there are many people.  For example, students and adult who came from near or far for it.  Theirs age ’s from baby to elderly person.  It was first time for me to join and see native American folk clothes, dance and music.  First, people, who wore folk clothes, came there with loud music, walking slowly and in a stepping rhythm.  They walked around at court of there, and many people came too.  I was very surprised that such a lot of people came.  They wore a variety of clothes, shoes, hats and accessories.  I could hear sounds from their clothes.  And they carried very big something, in their back and head, which was like bird wings.  During that time, we stood.  When I look at it, it had a question.  I want to know the meaning shown in each clothes.  They had been dancing for long time.  I thought that the time of the small child dancing was the loveliest.  After that, I walked around the shops to see.  There were a lot of shops which sell whatever.  For example, earrings, which were very cheap, were 1.00 dollar.  Another was necklace, T-shirt, bracelet and bag.  A few things were made by hand.  Next , I ate food, which name was Indian fry bread. Its looks and taste was like pizza, and I thought that it was delicious.  Next , about smell, when I went into there, as for me, the hall felt the scent of the incense stick.  But I didn’t know what smell it was.  In conclusion, I had a good time at there, and I ‘m in America now, so it’s useful for me to join and see it for my experience.  That’s why they were very kind people, and I got interested about native Americans, and their culture and tradition.  So I want to talk to them more about it someday.  Also I would like to continue to participate in various activities positively.  And Iwish to use for some of future selves.
